The Laconia Daily Sun is thrilled to bring you the eighth annual edition of Best of the Lakes Region. Year after year, this program continues to recognize the businesses, people, and places that make the Lakes Region such a special place to call home. From the shores of Lake Winnipesaukee and the White Mountain views to the locally owned shops, restaurants, and businesses woven throughout the region’s communities, the Lakes Region offers a unique blend of small-town charm, outdoor recreation, and community pride that keeps residents and visitors coming back
year after year.
Behind the scenes, the community once again showed incredible enthusiasm and support. More than 1,300 businesses, organizations, and individuals competed for top honors across 196 categories, resulting in over 310,000 votes cast by local residents. The continued participation and excitement surrounding Best of the Lakes Region reflect the strong connection people have to the businesses and organizations that help define life in the region.
This year’s top categories once again showcased the diversity of businesses and services residents value most. In ranking order, the top ten categories were All-Around Restaurant, Customer Service, Lunch Spot, Pet Care Services, Breakfast, Luxury Real Estate, Real Estate Team, Gardening Store/Nursery, Place to Work, and Medical Facility. From dining and hospitality to real estate and community services, these categories highlight the businesses making a lasting impact throughout the Lakes Region.
